THE TUNGVILLE TROVE
By Robert L. Silber
A fabulous treasure is found in a cave. The discoverers, the landowners above the cave, and the town grapple with their consciences to determine how it should be divided.
Jack Oakes claims, “By God the treasure belongs to me and I’m spending it.”
Becky Oakes, Jack’s wife says, “I’m sharing it with others.”
Yachts, fancy cars, farms, pure bred livestock, beautiful homes and other luxuries are bought with the treasure, but happiness does not come with the trove.
The preacher, church, and town government are all caught up in the treasure madness.
Pirate rides, cave tours, salted jewelry and coins are part of the carnival that overwhelms the peaceful town of Tungville.
The end is tragedy, corruption, jealousy, but little satisfaction with the new found wealth.
The book is available from Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com.
