Sandra Fitz Pettigrew, the author, is an elementary principal born in Pittsylvania County, Va. She now resides in Dinwiddie County with her husband of thirty-two years, Kenneth. They have one son KIP Jr.Her greatest pleasure in writing this book was to be able to let her stereotypical tight bun down and show that principals are human too.
