Donna lives in Brick, New Jersey with her husband Ted, of thirty-seven years, and their ten year old son, Sean. She wrote this book in memory of her daughter Rebecca, who committed suicide six years ago. Donna states that it was very painful to relive the memories of her daughter, but felt she had to in order to help others understand the frustration of manic depression/bipolar disorder.
